Alain Delon, resident of the Canton of Geneva since 1999, is supporting the project of establishing lawyers for animals to be submitted to the Swiss vote March 7. His image will be part of a poster campaign launched by the Waldensian Society for the Protection of Animals.
Mr. Delon explains, “So far, lawyers have defended the families of abused animals. But never the victims themselves. But animals are entitled to a defense. In certain situations, take the defense of an animal. We must understand that if one is capable of torturing a dog or another animal, it is capable of torturing a human being, “he says in an interview conducted by LeMatin.
A lover of animals, including dogs, Alain Delon hopes that Switzerland will serve as a model, and that France will follow.
He tells of having “eight dogs in his property Douchy (Loiret), where he has” a cemetery with most dogs (his) life: there are 35. I also now have a rabbit and three-legged cat with three legs. ”
